Some GeoPlaNet students won the Portuguese 6th Cassini Hackathon focusing on "Space for International Development & Humanitarian Aid.
The team is composed of 4 students from the GeoPlaNet Erasmus Mundus Joint Master : Jakub Morawski, Sarah Cader, Victor Lopez, Mariia Utkina, as well as an Erasmus Student from Poland: Adrian Walczak, in computer science, all of them currently studying in the University of Coimbra, Portugal.
The 6th CASSINI Hackathon challenges people to develop innovative concepts and products showcasing inventive spirit by developing viable solutions that will catalyse global innovation and provide aid to those in need. These novel solutions should support sustainable infrastructure development, strengthen food security & access to clean water, and aid in the forecasting and understanding of forced migration.
The winner project is called EscapeWar.net.
