GeoPlaNet students had the opportunity to attend a 3-day Planetary Sciences workshop at the European Space Agency - ESA (ESTEC).
The visit included lectures by project scientists, sessions with experts on different topics :
Life Cycles of an Interplanetary Mission (Andrew Ball), The ExoMars Rover Mission (Jorge Vago), Mars Landing Site Selection, Mars Sample Return, and Phobos Sample Return (Elliot Sefton-Nash). But also L4 Mission to Saturn’s Moons (Martin Haag), ESA’s Planetary Science Archive (Mark Bentley).
On the last day, students visited laboratories, including those focused on automation and robotics and the ESTEC test center.
